We are excited to announce that Single Sign-On (SSO) is now generally available for Kandy UCaaS. This enterprise-grade security feature streamlines authentication while enhancing security across your organization’s communication tools.
Enhanced Security with Simplified Access#
Single Sign-On eliminates the need for separate credentials across multiple applications, providing:
- One Identity: Users authenticate once to access all their Kandy UCaaS services
- Reduced Password Fatigue: No more managing multiple sets of credentials
- Enhanced Security: Leverage your existing identity provider’s security features, including multi-factor authentication
- Streamlined User Experience: Faster access to communication tools with fewer login prompts
Universal SAML 2.0 Support#
While we’ve initially implemented Azure AD integration, our SSO solution supports any identity provider that uses the SAML 2.0 standard, including:
- Microsoft Azure AD
- Oktaa
- Google Workspace
- OneLogin
- Ping Identity
- And many more
This flexibility allows you to maintain your existing identity management infrastructure while enhancing your Kandy UCaaS experience.
Enterprise-Ready Implementation#
Our SSO implementation includes features critical for enterprise environments:
- Centralized Access Control: Manage user permissions from your existing identity provider
- Automated Provisioning: Streamline user onboarding and offboarding
- Enhanced Audit Capabilities: Improved visibility into authentication events
- Consistent Security Policies: Apply your organization’s authentication policies uniformly across services
Getting Started with SSO#
Enabling SSO for your Kandy UCaaS environment is straightforward:
- Configure your identity provider with Kandy UCaaS as a service provider
- Set up the appropriate user mappings in your IdP
- Enable SSO in your Kandy UCaaS admin portal
- Users can now log in using their organizational credentials
Security and Compliance Benefits#
Implementing SSO delivers significant security advantages:
- Reduced Attack Surface: Fewer credentials mean fewer potential points of compromise
- Consistent Security Controls: Apply uniform password policies, MFA requirements, and access restrictions
- Improved Compliance: Better align with regulatory requirements for access control and authentication
- Faster Deprovisioning: Immediately revoke access across all services when users leave
